1/8/2026 – The Apprentice becomes the Master
After almost 20 years of running Coolsteel, Woody & Janet sold Coolsteel to long term employee & Sheet metal tradesman, Mark Temmen. Mark’s company Kram Nemmet Industries P/L took over on 1/8/2026
Mark was Coolsteel’s very first apprentice back when we started in 2007. Over the years he has gained a 2nd trade as Heavy Diesel mechanic before returning to Coolsteel in 2021 as 2IC and, 5 years later, he is now the owner.
Mark brings a wealth of fabrication experience and knowledge and knows our clients really well.
We (Woody & Janet) will still be around for a few months to assist in a smooth handover but wish Mark and the guys lots of luck for the next stage of Coolsteel, hopefully taking it further than we ever could. We are very happy that Coolsteel will continue beyond our involvement.
Thankyou to all our wonderful clients and suppliers over the past 20 years and to our Coolsteel family that became huge parts of our lives. We have trained 3 apprentices into phenomenal tradesmen (and general fabulous humans), provided work experience to 8 high school students and have had the privilege of working with some amazing sheet metal tradesmen who brought their own additional skills to the table. Australian manufacturing is alive and well.
Thankyou to you all – It’s been a blast. We will be leaving Coolsteel in safe, experienced hands.
